Jacob Boddie is the owner of Stolen Bases Sports Facility and the founder of the North Texas Longhorns Baseball/Softball Club (NTLBC). Jacob wanted to bring a facility to the North Texas area, that would allow rec teams, select teams, as well as individuals, a place to practice in a spacious, clean, climate controlled, well lit facility.
Jacob founded NTLBC 5 years ago this fall, with the idea of keeping select baseball at a minimum cost, reaching committed players and parents, with the main focus on developing players to give them what it takes to compete on the high school and college levels.
Jacob graduated from Van Alstyne High School in 1997 and went on to graduate from Austin College in 2002 with a B.A. in Exercise & Sports Science. While at AC, Jacob played middle infield and some outfield for the Roo’s. Jacob currently works for EQ Environmental in Carrollton, Texas and resides in Anna, Texas with his wife and two children, Taylor (8) and Brock (5).
Jacob currently coaches NTLBC 13U Majors and 15U Majors teams. In the Spring of 2012 he will be turning over the 15U team and High School program to Jake Self and Devon Mize to concentrate more on the developing the program even more, with focus on his 13U team, and his family.
